Laxmi Pratisthan has been working for the all-round development of the Chepang people and has put all its efforts in the ambitious project dubbed as Kanda Transformation Campaign. It started with guaranteeing the education to the children of Kanda by the introduction of Kumar Balram Memorial Hostel in Chitwan and Kavre districts. After several years, around 19 students have passed the SEE Exams while others are in the verge of passing it. In this perspective, the foundation had already envisioned the SEE graduates with vocational skills such as Agriculture, Livestock, Bee-keeping etc.
Currently, the students at Kumar Balram Memorial Hostel, Kavre have gained commands in technical skills such as Bakery, Haircutting, and Welding etc. during the summer vacation . The technical fields which have the big potential in the market were chosen for the training. Once they pass out from their higher studies, by that time they also will have mastered in their specific skills along with the education. By then, they will be able to take charge of their own community. And thus, the cycle of the Kanda Transformation Campaign will be over.
